<div itemprop="description">WALKER, Helen (nee MacLEOD) - Surrounded by her loving family Helen passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2016 in her 98th year. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert "Al" Walker, sister Lucy Bishop and brother Ralph MacLeod. Helen will be deeply and profoundly missed by her children Patricia Franklin (Evan), Alan Walker (Anne) and Debra Stone (Wayne) and grandchildren Andrew Franklin, Sarah Franklin, Nicholas Walker and Emily Walker and their mother Elaine, Tiffany Stone and Shawn Stone and great granddaughter Audrey Patricia Franklin. Helen was and always will be the wind beneath our wings. A heartfelt thanks is extended by Helen's family to Helen's dedicated caregivers Norma Clarke, Ann Bohla and Helga Duever who provided Helen with the gentlest, kindest and best of care over the many years they cared for Helen. We also thank the staff of Redwood House, in the Houses of Providence for their ongoing care. Helen's Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, May 15th, 2016 at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, 2900 Kingston Road (at St. Clair) in Scarborough, Ontario with visitation with family and friends at 2:00 p.m., a service at 3:00 p.m. followed by refreshments in the lounge. Interment of Helen's ashes will take place at a later date at Geddie Memorial Church, 5656 Route 20, in Springbrook, Prince Edward Island where she will finally be at rest in her beloved Prince Edward Island. En route to heaven Helen will take a shortcut along the dunes of Cavendish Beach, dulce in hand, along with a handful of clams and parts of each of our hearts.
