<div itemprop="description">With heavy hearts the family of Phyllis Gourlay (nee Atwell) announces her peaceful passing at home, on March 27, 2016. Phyllis was born in Horton, Nova Scotia on January 21,1921 to Brent and Alice (Britton) Atwell. She spent most of her childhood in Saint Martins New Brunswick on the Bay of Fundy, a place that she spoke of fondly. She travelled to Toronto during World War Two to find work. She met and married Donald Gourlay in Toronto just after the end of the war and settled here to raise her family. <br />Loving Mother to Darlene and Robert. Cherished grandmother to Kire and Vanessa. <br />Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. <br />Predeceased by husband Donald, parents Brent and Alice Atwell, brothers Brent, Joseph and Lesley, sister Christine Smith.</div>
