<div itemprop="description">Passed away peacefully in his 90th year at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on Sunday February 7, 2016. Predeceased by his loving wife Arlene, of 57 years at whose side he remained during her lengthy illness. He will be forever remembered and honoured by his sons Grant (Shirley), David (Sarah), Gary (Jan) and Douglas. Grandfather to Ashley, Robin, Kyle, Quinn, Tate and Jackson. <br /> <br />As a funny, good humoured, always joking individual, he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. A proud veteran of the Canadian Army during WWII. He loved his family to which he provided stability, comfort and joy. After serving in the military he went on to enjoy a long career in the printing trade. His retirement included a position at The Pantages Theatre which lasted the entire run of The Phantom of The Opera. <br /> <br />A celebration of his life will be held at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home &ldquo;Scarborough Chapel&rdquo;, 2900 Kingston Rd. (east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Saturday, February 13, 2016 between 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Please join us. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers we encourage donations be made to the Canadian Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation.</div>
