IWAMOTO, Sumi
Now at peace. Sumi passed away on August 11, 2016 in her 93rd year,
at Wellesley Central Place in Toronto. Predeceased by her sister
Kim Izumi and brother-in-law Mas Izumi. Survived by nieces Susan Izumi
(Alan King) and Lynne (David) Evans and Karen, Corey and Kristen, the
family of her deceased nephew Alan Izumi. Kind, generous to a fault and
a great conversationalist, Sumi is fondly remembered by her lifelong friends
from her nursing career, the fellowship of friends at Metropolitan Toronto
United Church, residents of Momiji Health Care Centre and her many friends
across the country. The family gives particular thanks to Dr. Lee, the nurses
and the personal support workers at Wellesley Central Place for their patient,
attentive and compassionate care of Sumi. Cremation has already taken place.
Funeral Service will be held at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900
Kingston Road, Toronto, on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11 a.m.
Reception at the funeral home will follow. In memory of Sumi, you may, if you
wish, make a donation to Momiji Health Care Society, 3555 KIngston Road
