<div itemprop="description"> <p> Unsworth, Nan&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;(Annie Clark Speirs) </p> <p> October 18, 1921 &ndash; November 2, 2012 </p> <p> (Photo taken August 28, 2012) </p> <p> Nan passed on peacefully after short illness, to be with her beloved late husband Tony and son Victor.&nbsp; Her loving daughter Karen was at her side. She will be deeply missed by family and many special, loving friends.&nbsp; Nan had boundless energy, discipline and grace, loving and experiencing life to the fullest and using her many talents and skills to teach and help others.&nbsp; She was a professional figure skater, coach, choreographer, skating in and producing ice shows.&nbsp; She was an enthusiastic and active member of the Milne House Garden Club for about 40 years, and a well respected judge in floral design for the Garden Clubs of Ontario.&nbsp; Nan also demonstrated flower arranging at the CNE Horticulture building for 20 years. &nbsp;Her faith was always a priority throughout her life, and she used her talents in floral design and paper sculpture to produce the acclaimed &ldquo;Easter Story&rdquo; at St. Paul&rsquo;s United Church, Scarborough, in 1977, then again in 1997.&nbsp; (Some of her paper sculpture is currently on display at the Albert Campbell Library.)&nbsp; In her 70&rsquo;s she travelled to Dominican Republic 5 years consecutively, building homes for Habitat for Humanity in memory of her son Victor.&nbsp; Nan loved and taught ballet and sacred dance, producing &ldquo;The Creation&rdquo; at St. Paul&rsquo;s United Church.&nbsp; Her energy, joy, and smile will be deeply missed by many.&nbsp;&nbsp; Nan&rsquo;s memorial service will be held Friday November 23, 3pm at McDougall and Brown, 2900 Kingston Rd. ,Scarborough,&nbsp; (just east of St. Clair Ave. E.) 416 267 4656, followed by a reception, location to be announced.&nbsp; Online condolences may be made at www.mcdbrownscarb.ca <br /> <br /> PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO SIGN THE ONLINE GUESTBOOK </p> </div>
