SIMMONS, Patricia Alice (née Milloy) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Pat Simmons; having lived a long and full life, she was called home to God on June 22nd, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Leo Simmons for 58 years. Loving mother of Jackie (Piero), Peter, Jeannette (Mark), Leslie (Malcolm), and Patti (Mark). Proud and fun grandmother of Michael and Matthew; Alex and Katie; and Jake, Rachel, Sam, Max and Luke. Cherished sister of Norine (John) and the late Jack, Mollie, Tom, Joe, and Evelyn. Loving sister-in-law to Teresa, Rita, and Tom (Teresa). Fondly remembered by her extended family and circle of friends. Treat-bearing grandma of grandpuppies Buddy, Baillee, Milo, Maggie, and Marlee Marie. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at the Toronto East General Hospital, the Toronto General Hospital, Rayoak Place, and the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence. We are grateful for their kindness and compassion towards our mother while she was in their care. We also appreciate the care provided to our mother by her family doctors, her caregiver, Anndhy; and the CCAC support team. Finally, we remain especially grateful to our mother’s neighbours—Rita and Jim, Doug and Cathy, Sieglinde, Marlene, Matt, and Danny—for their kindness and continued support over many decades. Visitation will take place at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON, M1M 1N5 on Tuesday June 28th, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Theresa's Shrine of the Little Flower, 2559 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON, M1M 1M2 on Wednesday June 29th at 10:30am. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence, 3276 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, ON, M1L 1W1 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
