STANLEY EDWARD KLINE
After a long and happy life. Born October 8, 1928. Died August 9, 2016. Treasured son of the late Alice and Leonard Kline. Beloved brother of the late Dorothy Bragan. Dearest uncle of Don (Nancy), Jill (Ian) and David. Beloved great-uncle of Ryan, Darien, Zachary, Matt (Kaz) and Robin (Matt). Stan was a lifelong resident and lover of the Beaches community. A member of The Balmy Beach Canoe Club for decades, he was a fixture strolling along Queen Street with a smile, a dog treat and candy for friends along the way. Stan spent his entire working life with Reliable Bookbinders in Scarborough, returning to visit regularly long after retirement. He loved to have lunch and watch the Jays at The Gull and Firkin, where Dana, Neal and all the staff treated Stan like family. Thanks to the many friends who called and visited Stan during his recent illness, for their ongoing love, friendship and kindness to our inestimable Uncle Stan. Visitation will be Friday, August 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Road. A service will be held in the chapel Saturday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m.
